Wrong interest calculation on ppf account FY 2015 -16?

Question

I had opened a ppf account no.22840 in P.A.U.Ludhiana post office on 10/02/2005. I have transferred this account to S.B.I . G.T.Delhi Road Ludhiana on 22/06/2015.An amount of Rs.263502/-( Rs.Two lakh sixty three thousand five hundred two only) has been transferred to my new ppf account no.35050471890 in the name of Sarvjit Singh Thakur on 07/07/2015 vide cheque no.400168.At the end of the financial year 2015-2016 an interest of Rs.17023/- (Rs. Seventeen thousand twenty three only ) has been credited to my account on 31/03/2016. The interest for the period April 2015 to July 2015 ( four months) has not been credited. Please do the needful
