Account Opening?

I have a joint account in your bank at Sawarkar chowk, Aurangabad. I need to open a separate account for my spouse. For opening an account, submitted all required documents on last Thursday to the branch. The Gentleman took the papers. When my wife went next day, the lady behind the counter told that the person to whom documents were submitted is on leave and she should come when he resumes. Is there person oriented work in ? Is there no system to handle absenteeism of Bank employees? Persons were also seen lethargic and not willing to open new accounts.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I understand your frustration. However, the issue raised appears to be branch specific. Though your concern may not get addressed, you would be doing a service to the cause of the your bank's customers if only you bring the matter of such bad state of affairs at the branch to notice of the higher authority of the bank. In this regard I suggest you to write to Nodal Officer of the bank. You may send an email or letter in this connection. Please ensure to provide complete details including your account details. Contact details of the Nodal Officer can be found on the bank's website.
