Credit Card Degraded without informing customer?

Hi,

I am holding a World Credit Card  This card used to come under Category  Point catalogue. However, today when I tried to redeem my reward points, I was shocked to see that the card has been degraded to Category D without any information to me. That means I have to shell out 1.5 times more points to redeem any rewards. When i called at  Bank's customer care, they said they can't do anything in this. Isn't there any law which bank to inform customer's whenever their instrument changes. I have been a regular payer of credit card dues, still such a treatment. This is TRUELY PATHETIC. God knows who the hell gave them reward of Best Bank.

Hi Bhuvnesh,

You have a valid grievance. The Bank must inform the customer before changing existing terms & conditions.  please follow the following steps :-

  1. Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.
  2. If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)
  3. If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)
  4.  If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
