Bank executive has cheated us by taking blank cheque for account opening, Without any name, amount written on it. with safety cheques issued for car loan he has taken this cheque. They have deposited the cheque for a random amount without information.
They say it's our mistake for issuing the cheque and the relationship manager says, we cannot talk managers and ask questions to them

Mr Aman,

Further, it is not clear that you are booking DDs online from Bangalore, which are issued at Mumbai and couriered at your Bangalore address. Had you approached the nearest branch of the Bank for DD issuance that would have delivered on the same day.

Never issue a blank cheque to any one including Banks/Financial Institutions from whom you are going to avail a loan. Please make it a habit of writing the name of the beneficiary on the cheque and if the amount is not known superscribe the cheque by writing words "Not over Rs ........" with approximate amount mentioned. This way you will be restricting the amount that could be debited to your account as fees/charges.

Since the amount is already debited to your account, you may escalate the issue to nodal officer - grievances stating that amount levied is higher than what was informed and seek the refund of the excess amount. If the Bank does not respond within a reasonable time, you may approach Banking Ombudsman for resolution of the matter.

Regards

Deepak
