Dear Sir, This is to bring to your kind attention that unfortunately, an amount of Rs. 65440.36 has been kept as 'Lien amount' in my saving bank account Earlier on October 18, 2015 a similar amount of Rs. 65440.36 was transferred from my account to the Card for clearing a Credit Card Bill dated October 13, 2015. Since the credit card bill's outstanding due amount of Rs. 65440.36 was already paid on October 18, 2015, there is no justification as why a similar amount of Rs.65440.36 be still held as 'lien amount' in my account. I have already made a thorough enquiry for this issue at the parent Branch namely, Branch, Manipur University, Canchipur, Imphal- As advised by the Branch Manager of the Branch, I am contacting you with the request for turning over the lien amount to my account at the earliest. Kindly take immediate necessary action for addressing my grievances. Expecting prompt reply from your end and with regards Yours sincerely Prof. Kangujam Yugindro Singh Department

Hi Singh

You have done correctly by approaching the branch for the difficulty faced on the lien being marked in your SB account despite having paid the Credit card amount. The best practice is take an acknowledgement of the query or complaint you have made. It is for the branch to take up with their card department for redressal of the matter.

You may kindly writ further to the Nodal officer of the Bank for necessary redressal of your issues. Please provide all the details of the transactions.
