Amazon.com issued a refund in my bank account but its been 20 days the amount has not been credited yet. Amazon has even given the ref no. But bank gives no response..neither customer care people know anything nor the people in the branch. This is so unprofessional. And then they call themselves as internaltional bank. They dont even reply to mails. I doubt they know how to check.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards reference number given by Amazon, it is not clear whether the company has given internal reference number or transaction reference number. If that is internal reference number, there is every possibility that your transaction has been marked for refund but not processed yet. When funds are transferred through NEFT, the credit comes to account on the same day or at the most next working day. I would advise you to check with Amazon whether funds are transferred under the given reference and if yes, ask company to provide Bank reference number. 

Trust that your problem would get resolved. If Amazon has given you Bank reference number then ask for beneficiary particulars to verify the correctness.
