Writing this mail after a pathetic response from bank. As after this experience i can say that Bank is the India s most unsafe bank. They believe only in quantity (more numbers ) of ATM s not in quality and customer service. On 27th October 2015, between 1:10 PM to 1:30 PM, I visited thane east ATM near railway station. Some other boy was there and he was trying to take money but machine was not working properly. He said u try. i tried twice but same problem came. then i left ATM . but he was keep trying. after coming at home i checked my balance through online my account was debited with rs.7000/-. i called customer care she told that it happened due to server error, i have her voice recording also. but today after 1 week i called again then she is saying that you withdrawn that amount. How it is possible. i have ATM card and i did not withdrawn money. After keeping ATM card and Pin with me how anyone withdrawal amount ? I did not loose my ATM card. How weak is your software ? As per RBI rules why you are not keeping guard with ATM centre ?? Why Message is not coming after debit the amount, only after credit its coming ?? After all no one is there who can take responsibly for the BLUNDER ... 7000/- is big amount for me . its not 500/- rupees. Someone s salary is Rs.7000/- Luckily its not happened after my salary otherwise i were on road.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

In view of whatever you stated in the mail, it could be a case of fraud.  You could have been tricked into using an ATM, through which the purported fraudster (the boy who was meddling with the ATM) might have withdrawn money from your account, post your departure, probably with some manipulation.  You were aware that the boy was not getting any money and at his insistence, you still tried to use the ATM to withdraw cash, which you could have avoided and gone to some other ATM.  It could be a stock response from the customer care official.  Even if you have recorded the same, it is of no use.  

Nevertheless, do complain in writing to your home branch under acknowledgement and await their response.  They would get back to your with their comments post investigation into your complaint.
