I'm Nikhil, I'm located in Bangalore and from more than a month the bank people call me saying that my number has been offered with a credit card and call me 1000 times a day to collect the documents, 
Once the documents were submitted no one bothered to contact me back with the application status.
Therefore, I myself called the customer services after 10+ days and get an update saying that the documents have not reached them and asked me to call them after 10 more days.
I wrote and email to the customer services which was replied after a long period stating that the application has been rejected.
This is the worst services I ever experienced before.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Your frustration is understandable. The manner of soliciting and subsequently rejecting your application seems to be unprofessional. However, you have to understand that the rejection would have been on account of your not meeting the bank's criterion including your credit history as would have been evaluated from CIBIL score,  for issuance of credit card. Accepting or rejecting an application for credit card or credit facilities  is the prerogative of the bank.
