I want to highlight the poor and un-professional customer service of  Bank. I already hold a savings account and had applied for opening NRO and NRE bank account on 9th July 2015. They have been unable to execute the request till date. They made me resubmit the documents thrice. The customer care executive was very unprofessional and asked me to send my documents on whatsapp. When i complained to customer care, they repeatedly sent me emails with the same text that they nee d a few more days to resolve my request.

Hi Anu,

Your existing Savings account will be converted to NRO account. For opening NRE account, you require to submit photocopy of your Passport & Visa, Overseas address and fresh photograph. If you have submitted all these documents and still your account has not been opened, the Bank has committed a mistake.

Please follow the below steps :-

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
