I dropped my cheque on 2/09/2015 but it got rejected due to name mismatch. In Cheque payee is my name that is not matched with my account name. after few days I have changed my name and now its exactly match with payee name on cheque. this time I thought that now it will be cleared. When I dropped it again and after 1 day I checked it on net banking and its showing as a Invalid Cheque. what's the problem now. name is matched then why it is invalid. I recently opened my account and now I am feeling like Worst Banking Service ever seen. and thinking to move in another Bank.

Dear Krishna

I infer that probably the cheque might have gone stale / crossed the mandatory 3 months from the date of issue.  Since the data is inadequate, I assumed as above.  Please check the date of the cheque, which was given for collection into your account.
