I am using credit card and I had purchased ~ Rs 600 rupees nearly one and haly year before(2009). I forgot to pay due amount ~ Rs 600 in due date as I didnt get the statement. But I paid Rs 600 it after 2 months by callingcustomer care service. During that time customer service gave the surity to reversal the levy amount and thatswhy I I paid due amount only on that time.
After that I did not check the credit card balance and also didnt use that card. As I change my residential address andmobile number, I didnt have any contact with credit card bank. But I didnt change my mail address and I am not getting any e-statement till now.
Now they have taken Rs 1083 from my saving bank account number without my notification to credit card. when Icontact customer service, they told that still i have to pay Rs 3500 to creditcard even though they taken Rs 1083 from SB account. I dont know why i need to pay without doing any transaction.
Thanks
Veera

Dear Veera

The terms and conditions for issuance of a Credit Card are very stringent and any laxity / delay in payment of your spends would attract late fee, interest etc.  Since you delayed payment of your onetime spend of Rs.600/- late by 2 months, the bank would have levied late fee and also applicable interest, which over a period might have become substantial liability.  You should be getting in touch with the card issuing branch / credit card officials, explain them your concern and seek waiver of the late fee charges, while you are still required to pay the interest.
