Since I shifted to another company which holds other bank as salary Account, I cant make to continue as salary account from July of this year.

Because of that, When i Deposited some 4500 amount into my account, the bank deducted the amount as below

2/12/2015 Chrg: Min Bal Non Maintenance Charges for Oct 15 (Value Date:01/12/2015) TBMS 808.19 DR 4/11/2015 Chrg: Annual Fees Debit Card 0128 TBMS 855 DR 4/11/2015 Chrg: Annual Fees Debit Card 6102 TBMS 570 DR 4/11/2015 Chrg: Min Bal Non Maintenance Charges for Aug 15 TBMS 957.6 DR 4/11/2015 Chrg: Min Bal Non Maintenance Charges for July 15 TBMS 852.29 DR 19/10/2015 Chrg: Min Bal Non Maintenance Charges for Aug 15 (Value Date:18/10/2015) TBMS 11.4 DR 14/10/2015 Chrg: Min Bal Non Maintenance Charges for July 15 (Value Date:12/10/2015) TBMS 116.71 DR
I Visited to nearest branch,  Mahindra and raised a query on the same then the manager replied me that because of so and so reason was done, You need to convert your account into savings account and you need to maintain some balance as 10, 000 as monthly avg balance to avoid these.. From November I started maintaining the balance as per his instructions and he assured me to revert the money If I maintained the average monthly balance. but today I found again charged 1300 rupees in my account.

Here I am demanding an explanation Right away, because I am frustrated with the service which you are providing. I make a cal to customer care, . He responded me and asking me all the details, I gave the maximum info (Please check the call records if needed, I dont know what else he required from me) but his cut the cal without forwarding it to higher management.

I STRICTLY NEED MY MONEY TO BE BACK ON MY ACCOUNT. IF IT IS NOT RESOLVED I GONNA FILE A CASE ON THE SERVICE IN COURT.

Thanks,

Dear Lokesh,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

You must be aware of the terms and conditions under which your salary account was opened. You have changed your job. It is doubtful if you updated the change of employment/address to your bank. In the absence of salary credits the benefits extended would have automatically lapsed resulting in lien being marked for charges towards non maintenance of minimum balance etc. Unsuspectingly when you deposited cash your bank appropriated the same towards various charges. Banks resort to this shock treatments

It is possible your bank sent you communications regarding non receipt of salary credits in your account and asking you to convert to normal account. Owing to change of address such communications would not have reached you. You cannot hold the bank responsible for your failures.

If you are sure your address on records with the bank remains the same and so also your mobile number and in spite of this you have not received any notice from your bank with regard to operations in your account, you can take up with Nodal Officer of your bank, through email or letter for reversal of the charges. In the absence of resolution and you have enough evidence to prove the bank was wrong you can escalate your complaint to Banking Ombudsman.

You can find email address and office address of the Nodal Officer on the bank’s website.   For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/

Regards

Mohandas
