Dear Dinesh

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I understand that you probably got into some settlement with the credit card issuing bank and also seem to have delayed those settlement payments too.  Please note that, whenever one gets into settlement with Bank towards dues of credit card, instead of paying the entire billed amount, the bank would invariably report the matter to CIBIL, whereby your score gets dented.  As per guidelines, a settlement is viewed as partial default and negative score would be awarded by CIBIL.  Only when the entire credit card dues are cleared, the bank would write to CIBIL to restore the score.  Hence, you should be approaching your credit card issuing bank for clarification and rectification, if any.
