Refund of wrongly debited money?

I have used my debit card for an online form fill up for the post of LDC at WEST BENGAL STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION's at 1.39 p.m. The demanded fees bank's charges of Rs. 225.73/- has been debited from my savings account immediately at the time of transaction and the debit message is still in my phone. But the COMMISSION's website on which the form fill up was going on shows the transaction failed and the form was not submitted. So I request to refund my money as the work was failed. Plz reply honestly. Bank's message- " Your account no XXXXXXXXX6614 is debited with Rs 225.73 Towards POS withdrawal."(Bank's transaction

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

The Bank cannot be faulted for the failure. However, your bank should be in a position to ascertain the status of the transaction and the actual beneficiary. You may send a suitable communication to your branch or make a personal visit and submit a complaint, for the bank to look into the matter and provide you appropriate solution.
