Deduction of SMAB charges from SALARY account?

Hi, I am holding a salary account sanathnagar branch. I am using this account since 1 year 4 months. Amount of RS 515.25 have been deducted from my account with out any infomation. As my account is a zero balance account, how can you deduce minimum balance charges Sanathnagar I kindly request you to take prompt action. Thanks and regards, Harish.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

As rightly stated, the salary account is generally a 'zero average balance' account.  However, if the salary does not get credited into the account consecutively for 3 months, then bank levies the MAB charges.  Please ensure that the account has been receiving salary credits uninterrupted and thereafter take it up with the home branch for reversal in writing.
