Unwanted marketing calls. No respect for our time?

I received an unnecessary marketing call from your bank during my office hours. Since I am a customer of bank I patiently listented to whatever the agent was saying. At the end of the call, he says that it's a paid service and an amount of Rs.1300 will be deducted from my bank account for availing the service. I asked him not to activate the service but he was repeatedly insisting that I need to go for the service. When I told him that he has already wasted 10 mins of my valuable time, he rudely said that he only spent 6 min ... secs speaking to me. It was utterly shocking. This bank doesn't have any respect to customers time. They are only interested in getting more revenue. Governments should come out with strict penalities on unsoliciated calls.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

You will have to first register for DND so that the unwarranted to call will stop from the Bank. Secondly please do inform the Bank in writing the experience you faced so that the Bank will take appropriate action against the erring official.
