Complaint against Recovery agent for non related calls?

Dear Sir/Madam.

This is regarding to calls I have been receiving from your recovery agent, since from Last month.
He is referring to credit card taken by Mr. Amol Dilip Saswade in past, for which amount is due. He told me that they have settled down amount to some 12 k rupees. and giving me forewarning to pay the same.
I informed him that Mr. Amol Dilip Saswade and I (Makrand Bhalchandra Saswade) do not have any relations except our surnames are same. I also requested him that not to call me regarding this.

But he is not in position to understand and continuously calling me and giving me warnings as below –

1)      Tu paise de, nahi to main tere ghar pe aake baithunga.
2)      Tu aur tera amol dono nalayak hai, murkha hai.
3)      Tu paise de varna main teri police complai kar dunga
4)      Main tere ghar police bhej rahan hun.

He is harassing me every day. I tried to explain him quietly, but he is not listening.
I tried to call back on his no. but not able to.
 

He is telling that he is talking from your bank shivajinagar, Pune branch.
Also mentioning that Amol Dilip Saswade as a ref. no. while taking card.  
He also sought my address and telling me that he will send team to my home.

My humble request to you is please instruct him and look in to so that I will not receive calls any more.
Looking forward for co-operation from your bank as I am also customer of  your bank since from last 10 years.

Hi Makarand,

Please note that this site is managed by a group of Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers to raise any complain/query in respect of financial services and to advise them suitably for resolution. This site does not belong to any Bank nor a regulator and we can not take up your case directly with your Bank.

It is surprising how your telephone number has been registered with the Bank (which in turn has furnished to the recovery agency) when you have not availed any credit facility from the Bank.

Please follow the below steps :-

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online furnishing the details (also demand to know how your telephone number has been registered in their documents).

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman within your jurisdiction (either through letter or email), whose website is https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/

Dear Makrand

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

If you have never taken a credit card and used the same, why should you worry?  Why don't you meet the officials of the related bank and inform them the facts?  I suggest that you should be meeting the senior officials of the bank, whose recovery agents are making calls to you, and explain them that you never applied for / had a credit card and do not owe any amount to the Bank.  If necessary, you may counter threaten saying that you may file an FIR with police for wrongful harassment.  If you do not have any dues to the bank, make it clear to them.
