I am being falsely charged Rs. 1499 on 30th Nov, 2015 from Amazon on my Credit Card. On being continuous calls and emails I am not getting proper response from both the parties. bank saying contact Amazon and Amazon saying contact bank. I am fed up contacting both numerous times. Amazon has asked for my card details again and again but not investigation anything and just saying we will resolve in 2-3 days but that is never ending.

Dear Khushboo

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I assume that the amount of Rs.1499/- must be with Amazon.  If the amount is returned to HDFC Bank by Amazon, they should be giving the related details of credit.  It does not seem so, especially since they are also stating that they would resolve in 2-3 days.  If Amazon is not positively responding and proving that they returned/refunded the amount to HDFC Bank, you may approach Consumer Forum with a complaint.  If HDFC Bank is at fault, you may complain to their Nodal Officer.  You can find contact details of Nodal Officer on your bank's website. In case you do not get desired response, please do not hesitate to write to BO. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/.
