Non clearance of Chaque no. 800609?

I submitted the above mentioned cheque on 27 july 2016 in your  bank subro to park branch new delhi with no response for more than 10 days. Then after i received a message on my mobile to deposit it through ose in lajpat nagar branch new delhi which is my original account branch . I did accordingly on 17 aug 2016 till date i have got no response. I am repeatedly reminding them but getting no hopeful reply. I have been suffering a lot of financial crisis due to this non clearance of my cheque. Kindly needful at the earliest.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards your complaint, I hope the same stands addressed by now. If it is not, I would request you to  be guided by the RBI guidelines reproduced hereunder:

What is the timeline for realization of local and outstation cheques and compensation payable if there are delays in affording credit?

Outstation Cheques

Maximum time frame for collection of cheques drawn on state capitals/major cities/other locations are 7/10/14 days respectively.

If there is any delay in collection beyond this period, customer is entitled to receive compensation at the rate specified in the Cheque Collection Policy (CCP) of the concerned bank. In case the rate is not specified in the CCP, interest rate on Fixed Deposits for the corresponding maturity to be paid. Banks' cheque collection policy also indicates the limit up to which outstation cheques are given immediate/instant credit.

In case you are not  given relief by the branch it would be in order for you to write to Nodal Officer of your bank providing complete details for quick resolution. You can send an email or write a letter. Contact details of Nodal Officer can be found on the bank's website. 

If the Nodal Officer  fails to resolve the complaint to your satisfaction, you may escalate the matter to the  Banking Ombudsman after  for resolution. While taking up please provide complete details enclosing copies of correspondence exchanged with the branch/Nodal Officer.
