Regarding to money deduction?

Hi, My name is chandrasekhar.

 I  filled fuel in my bike for 300 and gave debit card for swiping and he swiped and gave but amount deducted twice. Please refund my amount back to my account. Thanks, Chandrasekhar

Hi Chandrasekhar,

The amount should be reversed back to your account at the earliest. In the mean time please follow the below steps.

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)

As regards double debit for fuel purchased, you may ask the petrol pump dealer why the card was swiped twice. Since dealer has received double payment from the Bank , it would be prudent on his part to reverse one extra debit. The dealer has to check the daily settlement for confirming receipt of double payment. In case the dealer denies having received double payment, you may write to nodal officer - grievances of the Bank whose coordinates are available on the Bank's website.
