Default Bank Deducted my balance multiple times?

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Piyali Dutta and I am having a savings bank with Bank Kolkata, Saltlake, Sec-v branch. My complaint is related to the minimum account balance charges the bank has debited from my account. 

Please find the below details for all the transactions made by bank that I have been charged. 
 

10/07/2015 MABChgs-May15+STax 63 513.00
14/07/2015 MABChgs-Jun15+STax 63 513.00
11/08/2015 MABChgs-Jul15+STax33.56 273.26

Without intimation money got deducted and i am sure i have account balance more than Minimum Balance. Please let me know if anything can be done in this case.

Hi, Piyali.

Banks levy charges for non-maintenance of minimum average balance, which is generally quarterly/monthly, depending on the nature of the account and such charges differ from bank to bank.  If Bank Kolkata levied charges on your account, I assume that probably you must have fell short of the required minimum average balance.  Instead of feeling sure and confident about having minimum balance, please check your account, which would be more authentic.  Once you are certain, approach your branch manager with a written complaint for reversal / refund of the charges.  If the response from your branch is not proper, you may go ahead and complain to their management / banking ombudsman.  The process is as under.

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
