Dear Sundar

In normal course, a failed ATM cash withdrawal transaction, generally gets reversed within 24 hours.  Since the auto reversal has not happened in the instant case, you should immediately approach the base/home branch and make a written complaint under proper acknowledgment.  Your mail is not clear, whether you used Indian Bank ATM or other bank.  If the ATM pertains to a different bank, then your bank would take it up with the other bank to find out the reason for failure and claim a charge back.  If the ATM belongs to Indian Bank itself, then post check and reconciliation, they would respond to you.  If Indian Bank's response is not to your satisfaction, you may complain to their senior management.  The process in general is as appended.

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
