I have been dealing with bank from 2012...i have salary account and Rs. 3000 were debited from my account. My account is showing NFS/cash withdrawal on 20th Oct-15 instead i have not withdrawn money form my account. The time when the withdrawal took place i was in Gujrat and the customer care person told that it was done from Maharashtra. It was surprising that though the card was with me ..how could be the transaction done. When enquired the customer care person is not able to tell the city. Also I have given a written complaint to Jamnagar branch for the reversal and investigation. Plz tell me about this ...and what i have to do for Reversal of my money...
Thanks & Regards

Ms Suchitra,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards withdrawal transaction from ATM, it appears to be a case of skimming. The card details on the black magnetic strip on the back side are captured by way of a device and PIN is also captured when you punch it in the presence of some one or it is captured on the ATM by placing a dummy keyboard. I advise you not to part your card to anyone for carrying a swipe transaction, it should be done in your presence. These are the possibilities those have been shared with you to prevent recurrence.

Since you have not withdrawn the funds and you must be having evidence that you were in some town in Gujarat when transaction took place in Maharashtra. Please write to nodal officer - grievances whose coordinates (contact) would be available on the Bank's website. You may ask for the video clip when the said transaction took place in the ATM. If you do not get satisfactory response from nodal officer within a reasonable period nor the refund of funds unauthorisedly withdrawn, you may approach Banking Ombudsman for resolution.

Regards

Deepak
