My Account is with Bank with Drive In Road branch, Ahmedabad (Ac no. XXXXXXXXX2742). I have salary account with Zero balance and it is still salary account only. Before six months, I left the job till that time my salary was not credited to my account. (please note it is still salary account only after living the job as well). Now bank has deducted the charges of total 3000/- rupees for Average Monthly Balance.
I have filed the complaint in customer care of  Bank. They replied me on my complaint after I have reminded them for four to five time. While I have argued that when it is still salary account then how can you deduct the charges then they told me that my salary was not credited since last six months. So I asked them that how can they deduct charge without informing or prior intimating to the customer. So they have replied me very rudely and told me that charged cannot me reversed.
I have also droped an email to Grievance, but I didnt get any reply.

Dear Raju

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Even if the account is still designated as a 'salary', if salary is not credited continuously for 3 months, charges as applicable to normal SB account, would get levied.  This must be the case with your 'Salary Account' too.  If you have changed your employment, should have gone ahead and closed the relative account too.  Nevertheless, you may represent to the Nodal Officer of the bank for refund / reversal of the charges.  You can find contact details of Nodal Officer on your bank's website. In case you do not get desired response, please do not hesitate to write to BO. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/.
