Dear Bank,  This is with reference to my credit card I e-mailed bank regarding my concern to divide my payments to equal monthly installments but I was told that this scheme was not available on my card and cannot be done. And for the past 2-3 months I am receiving penalty in my account. I requested them again to get these converted to EMIs as I do not have enough money to pay in a single go, else I would not have used credit card. I was never informed that such a so called “scheme” was closed on my card. I had earlier purchased an phone from same card and same was paid in instalments. In fact many more transactions were made and never had any issues. I am forwarding below string of e-mails for your reference. I have not received any response on my second e-mail to them. Looking forward to your response on my complaint at earliest. My contact details are mentioned below.
Regards
John

Dear John

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Conversion of credit card spends into EMIs is the prerogative of the issuing bank.  It is Bank's discretion, but not card holder's right.  It is suggested that you meet up with the home branch manager and seek his guidance and help. Do request for EMI facility and waiver of the penalty, which again is solely bank's discretion.  Explore the possibility.
