I have received a phone call and caller asked me for my bank details, asking for ATM pin, when i denied caller started abusive language, and disconnected the call. I tried calling back on the no. the number was switched off. So I want to register complain against that. I found multiple complaints registered against same number online still no action has been taken.

Hi Shital,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I applaud you for identifying the malicious nature of the call/caller and being wise not to have shared your personal information. The fraudster would have vented his ire out of frustration. This is highly regrettable. But the banks have their limitation in registering complaints against those making such calls. Banks get little help from the Police. Even for the police it is difficult to take cognisance of such complaints  as these calls are made from remote locations and from prepaid numbers by organised net work.

You have acted  wisely by refusing to divulge any information. You must share your experience with your peer group, friends and relatives so that they too would act smart like you and protect their precious savings.

Regards

J R Mohandas
