Block Debit card?

Dear Sir, Someone stole my debit card and withdraw 20000/- Rupees from my account. I have lodged FIR now i want to block my debit card. debit card and my account  I have tried more than 100 times on your toll free no but there is no response from that side. now you are requested kindly block that card asap Thanks! At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong neither to any Bank nor a Regulator, which may please be noted.

You can forthwith approach any of the near by branch of your bank and request them to block the debit card, if your statement of calling their toll free number with no response is correct.  It is also a bit surprising that if someone stole your debit card, how did he know your PIN, as in the absence of either the card of the PIN, no money can be withdrawn from ATM or otherwise.  I think, you must certainly be having the base branch and their official numbers with you.  It would be better to speak to them for immediate blocking of the debit card.
