Branch members leniancy?

I have my current account in your bank sector 7 branch dwarka my all cheques clearance should in 10 days Members of branch cleared 1lakh in my account instead of rs.10 lakh cheque They missed so many times my cheques wich I dropped in drop box No action taken by branch manager against my complaints

Dear Jain,

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted. 

You should not bear such deficiencies at the branch any more. I suggest you to list out every instance of laxity in a lucid manner and bring the same to notice of the Nodal Officer of the bank for corrective action. If you have suffered financial losses and mental harassment on account of misplacement/loss of cheques dropped in the drop box, you should highlight the same in your letter to the Nodal Officer. Contact details of Nodal Officer can be found on the bank's website.

In the interim, you can refuse to deposit cheque in drop box. The bank cannot insist on depositing of cheque in drop box. It is your option. You can deposit your clearing/collection cheques at the branch along with pay-in-slip and insist on stamped and signed acknowledgement on the counterfoil. Such a service is your legitimate right and bank cannot deny the same. So don't compromise. 

If the bank fails to respond  of the response is not satisfactory, you may approach the Banking Ombudsman for resolution of your grievance.For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation of the BO (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint you may visit https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in
