Hi Team, I am writing this with lot of disappointment. I regret to inform that my regular payment (ECS) capital finance (a/c #- 4787140) has been returned today ( 06/02/2015) due to insufficent account balance ( #- XXXXX0445). However, i have kept enough amount available in my personal savings account balance with your bank to meet my obligation on time. This is really a bad time inconvenience since it has a direct impact on cibil scoring system and my repayment history too.
Please assist to check the actual reason of return & make immediate payment. Also, rectify the dunning history on cibil because i would not want any impact. I need a written letter from the bank with justification & rectification action taken

Thanks
Bhumika

Dear Bhumika

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed and managed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

Trust, you have ensured requisite balance to meet the ECS debit in your account.  If that is sure, then bank is wrong in returning the ECS with reason 'insufficient balance' and is answerable to you.  It is suggested that you should be complaining in writing to the home branch regarding the wrong return and seek corrective course and an apology.  Since the ECS return took place only 2 days back, it would not affect your CIBIL score, if the installment gets remitted promptly to Capital Finance.  If the branch is not responding positively, do further mail to the Nodal Officer of the bank with details of grievance.  You can find contact details of Nodal Officer on your bank's website. In case you do not get desired response, please do not hesitate to write to BO. For address of the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Area of Operation (jurisdiction) and the procedure for lodging complaint, you may access the website https://bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in/.
