Hi All, I bought two prepaid cards one limit is 10 thousand rupees,second  limit is 5 thousand rupee) I am supposed to receive around refund of around 1700 on card ending with 0007 and 4500 on card ending with 0722. I tried to transect 4500  through card ending with 0722 it got declined at the merchant however bank said the transaction was successful however the transaction got declined in my presence and I have sent all the proofs to  bank and support services but neither they answer there phone nor they respond through email. I have sent numerous email and tried to call million times but no response. My money is being kept with bank with no reason I have raised complaint with gogiftacard as well complaint number is IN the end I have to say such a pathetic service I will never ever deal with bank. Please credit the amount back to my account otherwise i will be forced to initiate legal proceedings against your bank. Bharat Singh

Dear Bharat,

I presume you have exhausted the limit on the cards you had paid for. What you have complained about is the declined transaction attempted to recoup the promised refund.If the transaction has been declined there has to be a valid reason for the same. The bank will be best able to explain.

It's possible that you have not understood the terms and conditions associated with product. Please meet the branch head of your bank branch  through which you have obtained the prepaid cards to get necessary clarification. If your queries are not resolved you may write to the Nodal Officer of the bank designated for redressel of customer grievances. After exhausting this avenue and if you are not satisfied,  you can approach the Banking Ombudsman for redressel.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of Senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any query / complaint / grievance in respect of financial services.  This site does not belong to any Bank or a Regulator, which may please be noted. 

From the mail it appears that you balance of Rs.1700/- and Rs.4500/- in two prepaid card availed from the Bank for your use. In one of the prepaid card where the balance is Rs.4500/- you tried at merchant you could not transact. Kindly approach your branch with your prepaid card and ask for the details which I am sure they will be able to respond immediately by checking in the system. If there is an error in your balance the Bank will be correcting the same immediately or if you have used the money then they will be giving you all the details. Kindly approach the Bank where from you have availed the prepaid card.
