Amt.debitted from saving a/c but not credited?

Question

I paid bill of mgvcl for electrical bill, thru my debit card, the ammount has not been credited to mgvcl.however the amt. Is debitted from my a/c(saving)

Dear Avinash

You have not clarified the mode of payment, whether by cheque or online.  If it was by cheque, then only on presentation, your account with the bank would have been debited.  Online payments, rarely and at times, could be problematic, due to technical glitches, if any.  However, since the debit is reflecting in your bank account, please submit a certified statement to mgvcl and get the overdue cleared.  You may also request your branch to give a certificate to that extent, which can also be submitted to mgvcl, which is more effective.
