Money deducted during transaction with DCB Atm but have't receive the money.?

I have tried to make a transaction with  bank debit card on 7th September 2015 but Atm machine got hanged and not responding at that time. but after some time i got the message that 6000 has deducted from my bank account. I was totally shocked . I registered a complain regarding this at the same moment. But till now they guys are not providing any solution even I am not getting any relevant information about my concern. Whenever I called to customer care of bank, they told me to wait.

Dear Aman

I infer that you did not get money from the ATM, but your account got debited.  I suggest that without loss of further time, please approach a nearby branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank, give a written complaint giving full details of the withdrawal transaction, wherein the amount was said to be not dispensed and obtain an acknowledgement.  This would help you at a later date to approach Banking Ombudsman, if no response is given by Kotak Bank.

As regards non-receipt of funds from ATM, you will have to take up the issue with your Bank. When the funds are not dispensed by the ATM, there is an error that get recorded on the transaction log in the ATM. The excess cash is then found in the ATM bin is reported by the ATM cash replenisher. Thereafter, the credit is afforded to the customer.

 

In case you do not get resolution to your complain, you may approach Banking Ombudsman for resolution of the issue. The coordinates of the Banking Ombudsman would be available on the Bank's website or RBI website.
