Debit Card Misuse?

Iam Himanshu Verma I want to complain about the Debit Card Fraud which took place with my fathers debit card. A call came to him from an unknown number and the person said that he was calling from Bank and said that my fathers Debit Card has been blocked due to some reason and he took some card details . After few minutes there were transactions of around Rs. 10000 from the savings account. Kindly take a speedy action for the same . I will be highly obliged for the quick action.

Dear Himanshu

This website guides you regarding the process to be adopted for resolution of your grievance.  In the instant case, it seems your father must have divulged the crucial details of his account, including the debit card, related PIN etc, which facilitated the fraudster to siphon off the amount.  Please mail your complaint to the management of the bank, if the manager of the home branch is not responding to your grievance.

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
