Non Clearance of Cheque?

Dear Sir, regards. I have deposited account payee cheque No.447596 of RK Puram New Delhi into my Saving A/C on 02 May 2016 at RA Branch Ambala Cantt. But unfortunately said cheque not yet credited to my account. Kindly confirm the status please and when it shall be credited to my account ? Otherwise let me know the process to whom shall I meet or write ?

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

I presume that the cheque deposited by you  would have been 'payable at par at all branches' . If this is the case and the drawee bank has a branch at  the location as is the case with your bank/branch, there is no reason for the cheque not having been realised so far.  If the cheque amount is neither credited nor the cheque has been returned unpaid for any valid reasons so far, you may approach the branch where you had deposited the same for necessary clarification.
