Deducting every year for Debit card charges?

Hi, I observed that Bank deducting Rs114/ every year for Debit card charges, when I asked then are tailing that its RVI has give guideline to bank to deduct Debit card charged according to their convenience. I want to know whether it is eally such rule that bank can deduct such charged according to their convenience.

At the outset, let me clarify that this site is designed by a group of senior Banking Professionals to assist Bank Customers at large to provide guidance for resolution of any complain/query/grievance in respect of financial services. This site does not belong to any Bank or a regulator, which may please be noted.

As regards your complaint, let me clarify that levy of charges by banks for various services is as per their internal guidelines. The charges need not be uniform across banks. Banks are obliged to be transparent regarding service  charges and revision of charges has to be communicated to customers 30 days in advance. I am sure your bank would have clearly communicated to you about the annual levy for debit card.

Your complaint in the above circumstances does not appear sustainable.
