I had raised a request for closure of my EMI, the customer care agent took a request and initated to close the EMI, he had asked me to pay 16000 as the pending amount. I wanted to close the emi as my min amount due was high around 5000 as i have other commitment and credit card I couldn afford this payment, he said i can make the payment imediately and it will be adjusted in the next bill. I made the payment and waited for a reduced bill, but to my suprise now i have recieved an bill with the min amount of 16377, saying the emi has not been closed, the previous amount paid was not adjusted. I found it difficult to pay 5000 itself, now i am forced to pay 16000 for the wrong information provided by the agent.

Hi Mohad,

1.    Go to your Bank’s website and search for grievance redressal (or similar name) button and submit your complaint online.

2.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

3.    If you do not receive any reply / satisfactory reply within 10 days from the Nodal officer, lodge your complaint with the Principal Nodal officer of the Bank (either through email or letter)

4.     If you are still not satisfied with the reply / do not receive reply from the Principal Nodal officer within 10 days, lodge your complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (either through letter or email)
